Main Responsibilities: 


— Lead and champion all safety management activities for Aircraft Services APAC and serves as Safety Manager, for any regulatory Postholder responsibilities. 

— This role will require Safety Manager post holder responsibilities for the San Marino AOC and other regulatory frameworks as the business capability grows. 

— Develop and monitor the Safety Management System in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements and the guidance specified in ICAO Annex 19 to ensure on-going compliance and make recommendations where applicable. 

— Ensures the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and oversight of QMS personnel. 

— Monitor and track internal and external safety reporting; mandatory and voluntary. 

— Liaise with external third-party auditors on required safety audits (e.g., IS-BAO) 

— Ensure timely corrective actions to all non-conformities (internal and third party) in the departments within his/her area of responsibility. 

— Ensure a timely response back to the aviation authorities for all corrective and preventive actions resulting from audit findings or other non-conformity reports. 

— Implement and manage the company’s risk assessment and change management process 

— Coordinate with the relevant regulatory authorities regarding compliance issues including operational approvals 

— Close co-operation with department heads to address compliance and quality issues and liaise with other safety professionals in the Jet Aviation Group as required. 

— Develop, monitor and exercise the Emergency Response Plan and assumes a leadership role in the exercise testing of the plan 

— Consult with Regulatory Authorities, customer, and relevant Government bodies in relation to Aviation Quality and Compliance issues.

— Lead occurrence investigations of incidents relating to maintenance error and report on findings as required and produce relevant safety reports where applicable 

— Provide updates to the Accountable Managers on aviation related safety matters, trends, and analysis 

— Ensures the maintenance and protection of all safety related data. 

— Develop, implement, and maintain the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) Program in accordance with ICAO Annex 6 and regulatory requirements. 

 

Minimum Requirements: 


— Bachelor's degree in aviation related field with a focus on safety management and or extensive or equivalent operations or industry experience 

— Minimum 10 years in aviation including an operational safety or significant compliance monitoring and reporting experience 

— Expert knowledge of Risk and Change Management 

— Expert knowledge of Safety Management System application and reporting 

— Experienced Lead Auditor and Aviation Safety Investigator. 

— Experience in the application of Root Cause Analysis tools including HFACS. 

— Working Knowledge of WHSE requirements
